Overview

CVE-2026-4399 describes a prompt injection vulnerability in a chatbot (1millionbot Millie) where an attacker can craft a prompt that, using Boolean prompt injection techniques, causes the model to execute the injected instruction upon receiving an affirmative response (e.g., true). This can result in the model returning prohibited information or acting outside its intended context, potentially abusing the service or accessing and using OpenAI API keys. In real-world deployments, such prompts can bypass containment mechanisms trained into the model, enabling out-of-context tasks or information disclosure. When Go services using Gin forward user-provided prompts to a language model without strict separation of system versus user content or without proper validation, they become susceptible to this class of injection.
